Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali, Head of the Department of Information Technology at University of Warith Al‑Anbiyaa, participated as a member of the master’s thesis defense committee in Information Technology for the student Sabreen Ghanem Khalifa. The defense was held at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Karbala.

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology discussed the master’s thesis entitled “Generating Facial Expressions Images Using Generative Adversarial Networks.” The defense took place at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, 15 February 2026, in Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the Deanship of the College, in the presence of the Dean, Dr. Mowaffaq Kadhim Al‑Hassnawi, along with a number of researchers and faculty members.

The examination committee consisted of Dr. Huda Abdul Ali Abdul Baqi (Mustansiriyah University / College of Science) as Chair; Dr. Ilham Mohammed Thabit (University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology) as Member; Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali (University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa / College of Computer Science and Information Technology) as Member; and Dr. Ashwan Anwar Abdulmunem (University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology) as Member and Supervisor.

The defense concluded successfully, and the candidate, Sabreen Ghanem Khalifa, was awarded the Master’s degree.
