Under the auspices of the Women’s Affairs Division and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Media at Warith Al-Anbiya University, an awareness seminar was held on (23/2/2026), entitled: “Media Awareness and its Role in Confronting Domestic Violence and Drugs.

The seminar was attended by students of the College of Media and was presented by faculty member M.M. Haider Khalil Ibrahim. It addressed key themes focusing on the role of media in addressing issues facing women and girls, highlighting awareness-raising media and its role in reducing domestic violence.

The seminar addressed electronic blackmail, reviewed the roots of domestic violence and how to protect women from it, explored strategies for confronting electronic blackmail, and discussed the media's responsibility in combating domestic violence and drugs, along with the destructive effects of drugs on the individual and society. The seminar concluded with recommendations aimed at strengthening the media's role in addressing these phenomena and reducing their spread.
