A Student from the College of Science/IT Department at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University Wins Fourth Place Arab-wide in the Arab Scout Youth Award
The Warith Al-Anbiyaa University student team has achieved a significant milestone by winning fourth place at the Arab level in the second edition of the Arab Scout Youth Award, which was held in the United Arab Emirates.
This achievement was supervised by the Student Activities Department. The team was represented in receiving the award by the student Abbas Alaa Dhiaa Al-Din from the College of Science/Department of Information Technology. This was accomplished in collaboration with the University Scout Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and with the support of the Iraqi Scout Association, through their pioneering project, the "Iraq Scout Application."

Second and third-year students at the College of Science are taking their first-semester midterm exams for the 2025-2026 academic year amidst facilitated procedures,
under the guidance of the esteemed Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Nawfal.
The Dean met with the students as they were taking their exams and listened to their opinions regarding the examination environment and the suitable atmosphere, including comfortable seating, lighting, and the flow of the exam questions relative to the course material. This included ensuring questions were evenly distributed across the curriculum topics and overcoming all obstacles and difficulties they might face during the examination period.
The workshop will be held in the Al-Ola Building, first floor, Hall 102 on Sunday, November 16th.

His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, visited Warith Al-Anbiyaa University today. He was received by the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, to conduct an inspection tour and review the ongoing expansion and development projects within the university.
The tour included the new buildings currently under construction, in addition to the service and infrastructure projects that the university is working on developing, which enhances the educational environment and keeps pace with academic development.
During the tour, His Eminence praised the efforts being made in implementing the expansion projects, emphasizing the need to accelerate the completion of work according to the established plans and with the highest quality standards.
The Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority also commended the academic achievements recently attained by the university, particularly regarding its attainment of advanced rankings, considering this a reflection of serious institutional work and a clear vision for developing university education.

The National Institutional Accreditation Team Visits the College of Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa
The Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Nofal, received the National Institutional Accreditation Team, headed by Dr. Khalid Shanawa and his accompanying delegation from the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Agency – Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The visit aimed to review the requirements and standards of accreditation within the college. It included an evaluation of the academic environment, infrastructure, and mechanisms for quality assurance and development, in preparation for completing the institutional accreditation procedures for the college.

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) Participates in the International Al-Noor University Quranic Competition
The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) participated in the International Al-Noor University Quranic Competition, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of 53 Iraqi universities and 6 international universities from various countries around the world. The competition was hosted by Al-Ameed University.
The college was represented by the reciter, student Jaafar Ismail, who delivered a distinguished Quranic recitation that impressed both the judging committee and the audience, reflecting the high academic and spiritual standards of the college and its students.
This participation comes as part of the College of Islamic Sciences’ commitment to promoting Quranic culture, nurturing student talents, and encouraging creative participation in academic and spiritual competitions locally and internationally.
Collaboration Between the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) and the Central Library of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH)
As part of the ongoing collaboration between the College of Islamic Sciences and the Central Library of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), the College Library, under the patronage of the Honorable Dean, hosted the second meeting between the participating parties to discuss mechanisms for implementing the terms of cooperation between the College and the Central Library of the Holy Shrine.
The meeting addressed the role of technical and technological support provided by the Computer Center and the Quality Assurance Department in activating this cooperation, as well as defining practical procedures for exchanging resources and information between the libraries involved. The participants reviewed the key points previously agreed upon, and the College Library representative presented a brief overview of the current needs in developing the library’s database and the Central Library’s digital infrastructure, particularly in the areas of digitization and electronic archiving, in addition to facilitating research resource access for university scholars within the framework of joint cooperation.
The attendees also discussed the role of the Computer Center in providing the necessary infrastructure to link the College Library’s electronic system with those of the University and the Holy Shrine libraries, ensuring smooth and efficient information and resource exchange.
Finally, the representative of the Quality Assurance Department emphasized the importance of establishing clear performance indicators to measure the quality of library services following the activation of this partnership, ensuring its sustainability and effectiveness.

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) has achieved a remarkable milestone by earning second place in the Distinguished Universities Category at the Iraqi Science Day Awards 2025, in recognition of its outstanding efforts in advancing education, scientific research, and community service.
The award ceremony took place during the Iraq Education Conference 2025, inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, with the participation of international academic institutions, including Times Higher Education (THE), Clarivate, Elsevier, and QS.
The award was received by Prof. Dr. Noor Mahdi Al-Saadi, Assistant Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, as a testament to the advanced position achieved by the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) on its path toward national leadership and regional and global influence.

As part of enhancing academic cooperation and exchange of expertise between academic institutions, a delegation from the College of Administration and Economics at Warith al-Anbiya University, headed by Professor Awad al-Khalidi, visited the College of Tourism Sciences at the University of Karbala to discuss prospects for academic and research cooperation between the two sides.

Professor Ali Abdul-Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya, participated in chairing the discussion committee for a master's thesis at the College of Medicine, University of Basra, for researcher Zainab Abdul-Majid Awan. The thesis was titled: "Patient satisfaction with quality of health care services in public hospitals in Basrah city." The discussion took place in the Graduate Studies Hall of the College of Medicine, University of Basra, where the committee consisted of a select group of professors from Iraqi universities. This attendance comes within the framework of scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and to promote the mission of science, knowledge, and community service.

The thesis, titled "Evaluation of Emotional Difficulties among Women Having Had a Miscarriage in Karbala 2024," was held at the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala. The Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University announced the success of a specialized team of cardiac surgeons who performed advanced open heart surgeries using a minimally invasive lateral thoracotomy technique, without the need to open the sternum. This procedure was performed by a medical team led by Dr. Jabbar Jassim Al-Tai, a faculty member of the college. Dr. Al-Tai, a consultant in open heart surgery, explained that these surgeries are considered among the most advanced procedures worldwide, having been pioneered in Europe, and represent a significant advancement in cardiac surgery, offering high precision and excellent results for patients.
