The College of Engineering at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University organised two scientific field trips for students of its departments, as part of its commitment to strengthening applied education and linking theoretical aspects with practical, on-site experiences.
The first scientific trip involved students from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, who visited the University of Technology to explore advanced laboratories and modern equipment, thereby contributing to the development of their scientific skills and the enhancement of their applied knowledge. The second trip included fourth-year students from the Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering, who visited the Al-Musayyib Steam Power Station as part of the Power Stations course. The visit provided students with direct insight into the operation of boilers and turbines in steam power plants and helped broaden their engineering experience.
These educational activities are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) through supporting applied engineering education; Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by enhancing knowledge of industrial technologies and infrastructure; and Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) through introducing students to electrical power generation systems.
Through these scientific field trips, Warith Al-Anbiyaa University affirms its commitment to preparing students who are scientifically and practically qualified, capable of meeting labour market requirements and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development.
