On the sixth of January, we stand in reverence before the sacrifices of an institution that has borne the honour of defending Iraq and has presented an enduring model of loyalty and national responsibility.

The Iraqi Army will remain a steadfast pillar of the strength of the state, a protector of its sovereignty, and a symbol of the unity of its people.
