Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) said:

“Indeed, Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, has made the month of Ramadan a racetrack for His creation, in which they compete through obedience to Him seeking His pleasure. Thus, some people advance and succeed, while others fall behind and lose.”
