The Dean of the College of Medicine honors Dr. Mu'ayyad Al-Naqeeb in recognition of his national achievement in liver transplantation.

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the Dean of the College honored Professor Dr. Mu'ayyad Al-Naqeeb at the university campus in recognition of his significant medical achievement: performing the first successful liver transplant in Iraq.

This honor comes in celebration of Dr. Al-Naqeeb's scientific and humanitarian efforts, which constituted an important step in the development of organ transplantation surgery in our beloved country and enhanced the standing of national expertise in this vital field.
